I grew up with the whimsical, nonsensical world of Dr. Seuss. Green Eggs and Ham, Horton Hears a Who, How the Grinch Stole Christmas…. all were part of my growing up years. Now they have become part of the growing up years of my children. No one can write nonsense like Dr. Seuss, and the fantasy world he created and that lives on in our minds and imaginations has taken physical form at Seuss Landing.
You would think that it wouldn’t be possible to create a place without any straight lines, but somehow Univesal Orlando has done it. The benches, the lamposts…. even the trees were permanently bent by Hurricane Andrew and imported here.
Here you can eat, drink, ride and play… all in the mixed up world of Dr. Seuss. Teenagers may roll their eyes a bit, but younger children will be able to lose themselves in a make believe world. Adults will appreciate the attention to detail in the theming, and…. boy, that made adults sound boring. Adults, too, will want to hop in a fish or take a ride on a couch. At least, this adult did!
